Hello! My name is Pastor Steve Sorensen. Marty and I were born and raised in Southern California and married in 1984. I graduated from Biola Unversity and Talbot Seminary with degrees in missions, education and pastoral theology. We have lived in the desert since 1988 and raised our two grown sons here. The Lord led us to start JPL in 2002. JPL stands for joy, peace and love. The Bible tells us always be joyful, experience God’s peace and that love should be our highest goal! So I believe church should be enthusiastic and even fun (joy), a well run environment where we honor each other (peace), and a friendly, accepting environment (love).
